Shaun Rose, Owner of the Moto-Breakers Racing Team announced the addition of Nikki Coates to his team for the 2014 season at BSB, racing on the Kawasaki ZX10-R in the Pirelli National Superstock 1000 Championship.

Belfast born Nikki joins a Moto-Breakers Team that currently includes Aussie BJ Currie, Scotsman Russell Brown, and Englishmen James Lodge.

Nikki began his racing career in 2004 at the age of 15 and since 2005 has raced in the British Championships, beginning on 125CC, then 600cc Superstock followed by a season in the Spanish Moto2 Championship in 2011. For the last two years Nikki has ridden in Supersport at BSB, where he achieved top ten finishes. “With multiple British Championship race wins, along with several hard fought for podiums and lap records during his career, we are looking forward to working with Nikki in 2014 racing on the Moto-Breakers’ Kawasaki ZX10-R “ Said Rose.

“I’m really looking forward to this season and can’t wait to get started riding the bike and working with the team. It will be a change for me racing in the Superstock 1000 class after a difficult year for me last season with injury”. Said Coates. “But I’m fit now and motivated 100% on doing a good job for the team and enjoying my racing again. Thanks to Shaun and the team for making it happen.”
“Preparations are well in hand for the season”. Said Moto-Breakers’ Team Owner Shaun Rose. “The bikes are prepared and ready to race and we are currently planning our pre-season testing”.

Assen 2013

September 27, 2013

Looking back at Assen I was happy that I have made a bit of progress with the new Evo bike. I was a bit rusty as I have not raced in a few months and working with a new bike and team was going to take time.

I finished 21st and 22nd  and 6th and 5th in the cup in both races which is not ideal but the lap times improved as the weekend went on and was just a couple of sessions behind.

Silverstone is 4-6 October and it should bring better results and hopefully a couple of cup wins.

Cheers Nikki
